We:
- looked for examples of where our "reader brains" wanted to know *more* in my Tainted Love story
- marked up the story with "here"
- looked collaboratively for a place that I could expand
- created questions that I (Mrs. H.) could use to improve the hyper-focused section of my writing
- co-wrote a more detailed, more crisp story about the UMF White House block party in June of 1975
We then:
- looked at the writing of at least one other person, looking for the section where the "story happens" but yet your reader brain wants more and more information
- considered what questions would help the author heighten and intensify the interest of the reader
- wrote and shared these questions with the authors
Homework:
Peel out the section of your memoir, start a new document with it, and then integrate answers to your classmate's questions about your writing.
