I'm out today because one of my daughters is pretty sick with the upper resp. thing. Blech!
Here's what I'd like you to do today:
- 15 minutes of S.S.W. > Hold on to this writing. If you need to have some ideas, look >>quickly<< at this site that has high quality writing prompt suggestions: http://rpdp.net/admin/images/uploads/resource_7761.pdf
- Working on your 1.5 writing prompt > try to use EasyBib to incorporate your excerpts. Don't forget that I have the resource for you that has different examples of tone, per page. Here it is: https://sites.google.com/a/rsu73.com/huish1213/home/english-11/english-11-resources/america-and-i-tone-excerpts
- When you are writing the 1.5 prompt, ask yourself: "How does this excerpt change the protagonist's tone?" The answer to this question would be the "comments" section in EasyBib, also known as commentary / analysis.
- When you are finished, please make sure you've read and annotated 1.7: Growing Up Asian in America
- You may spend the remainder of the period reading your American Dream novel. Feel free to grab Post-Its for annotating. :-) See you Wednesday!
