Due Date Alert: Final copy of Embedded Assessment #2: Analysis of a Passage from To Kill a Mockingbird due at the beginning of class
We:
- will be starting Unit 4, our final unit of study: Drama
- will be studying the Shakespeare play Romeo and Juliet - here is an online version of the play
- will go over the Character Names and Descriptions that I handed out
- will fill out the graphic organizer #7 on p. 259 (Act. 4.3)
- will read and watch the Prologue - doing Activity 4.4 along with it (Yes: 260 & 261, not 262 & 263)
- View as much of Romeo and Juliet as possible,
taking notes in Activity 4.6 along the way (with my guidance) - hopefully last 15-20 minutes of class- Period 1: we watched through the time at the party when Juliet is dancing with Paris
- Period 2: we watched through the time that the Montague boys have just arrived at the party, and Romeo has had to "freshen up" to clear his head - just before meeting Juliet
Homework: QuickWrite on plain paper or electronically AND PRINTED BEFORE CLASS -
Reflect on the plot and characters of Romeo and Juliet thus far.
