Tuesday 3/24/15
Due today:
- Civil War K-W-L
- SAT Sentence Completions - we'll go over them a bit at a time, starting Thursday
We will be :
- completing today's SAT QotD - keep the handout in your binder in the miscellaneous section so you can study it before SATs;
- watching the Quack videos for Lists 6 & 7 (only 2Green did this, as 4Green wanted to do 2.20 today); and
- starting our Work Your Weakness ("WYW") plans.
Homework:
- Study Quack Lists 6. & 7, ready to take quizzes on both on Monday 3/30.
- Do some research on your WYWs and what they mean. Write a short paragraph on each weakness and how to fix it. GDoc this or print it. Due on Thursday 3/26/15 - whether you're at Foster Tech or not.
Thursday 3/26/15
Due today:
- Your WYW work - either by GDocs or printed (see homework, above)
Due last time (pass in / share, if you haven't already):
- Civil War K-W-L
- SAT Sentence Completions - we'll go over them a bit at a time, starting Thursday?Monday?
Today:
- I will be out - TRUST ME, I'd rather be at school. (Grumpy face)
- Email me at my Gmail account if you have questions about the work. I just can't drive or leave the house today...
We will be:
- doing work related to your WYW work: do more research about your areas for improvement, find and take quizzes / exercises to improve upon your weaknesses, and log your work (write me a GDoc about what you did > this will go in the grade book for both completion and timeliness). If you take quizzes, screenshot the results. - If you don't have a working computer, many of the WYW areas are described in the back of your Springboard books.
- You may want to make an account on the Everyday Writer site. I haven't fully checked it out, but it seems pretty terrific.
- When you're done, go on to the Logophilia site and study more Quack, review Roots, and/or study other vocabulary. If you keep track of your quiz results, you'll earn extra credit.
- HOORAY... I'm almost entirely done with the WYW HUB to support your work today. You'll notice it changing as the period progresses (it's 9:05 right now).
- WYW HUB <<<<<< USE THIS FOR YOUR WORK TODAY
