We:

• had a re-teach about how one writes a literary analysis
  • deconstructing the prompt
  • finding evidence to back up your ideas about the prompt
  • how to infuse your writing about the prompt with textual evidence
• workshopped our essays and finding passages

Homework:

finish the final copy of Embedded Assessment #2: Analyzing a Passage from To Kill a Mockingbird

be prepared to start Romeo and Juliet: Unit 4

• Huey writes the EA#2 prompt - how Mrs. Huish would write the introduction and first paragraph of this essay
• DEJs and TEJs sentence frames - good place to look for more analysis language
