- Time to take the Google Survey about films/books- NOTE: make sure you have your - literary terms,
- your story arc, and
- a good understanding of how to apply them to your choices - I will be taking notes about your verbal contributions
- NOTE: if you had to ask me for copies of the literary terms or story arc, I asked you to write yourself a note about what you could do differently, in the future, in preparation for college and career preparation. File this in the C/CR section of your notebooks. I will be looking for this.

- Collect resources: open notes, including literary term definitions, story arc notes, as well as the four graphic organizers that are analysis supports for America and I
- I look at the Google Survey results and report out which stories are well known by me, thereby making them okay for presentation
- Quick conversation - in your groups, about which books, movies would be good to choose for the Presenting My Favorite Story, Analytically assessment and which ones wouldn't (and why).- 3G: I was able to score you, as I went around and listened to you on the S&L evaluation standard
- 4G: I asked you to jot notes about your evaluation process with your intellectual colleague(s)

Homework (due Friday / Monday):
- collect the full list of supports for your timed writing on America and I: - literary terms,
- story arc,
- the four graphic organizers we used with the story - way back (story stairs, timeline, ...), and
- the summaries of each chunk (in your SBoard book);

- review America and I, ready to analyze it using the story arc and the literary terms;
- review your book or film, in preparation for a 2-minute max presentation of the story, analyzing it - aloud - the way you will with the writing; and
- make sure you understand the two essential questions on the assessments sheet (listed on the unit page, linked from HERE).
