Your final will have three parts:
1) Unit 4, Embedded Assessment 1, modified with aspects of Embedded Assessment 2 - 85% of your final exam grade - Due at the end of class on June 6 or June 7. Please also turn your Pursuit of Happiness journals in at that time.
Please write the essay exactly as assigned on p. 299. It will be scored with the rubric on p. 300.
Add in two multi-genre pieces, from the JPG I've attached at the bottom of this page (adopted from my graduate class, part of The National Writing Project)
2) a multiple-choice exam over the following literary terms and academic vocabulary: QUIZLET HERE (TO BE UPDATED THE EVENING OF MAY 31) - 10% of your final exam grade
3) a quick mechanics test (when to use colons and semi-colons) - also multiple choice - 5% of your final exam grade
