We:

• finished our discussion about photo essays, possibly going back to 1.11
• will start 1.13; and
• the discussion of the photo essay and thesis statements made it clear that we needed to be sure we were all "on the same page" about making thesis statements, as they relate to photo essays, so we created the following one (see the blackboard picture) for the Time photo essay about What the World Eats, Part 1.

• discussed plans for your photo essays, including possible thesis statements. > this took off! :-) So... we just jumped right OVER 1.13 and started our photo essays

I:

• will collect any assignments you have in your binders that I haven't yet collected and scored (1.10, 1.12, and the plan for your photo essay that I asked you to come up with - verbal from last class is OK & will be a score if you shared something with me)

Homework:

finish your thesis statements and use the graphic organizer on pages 41 & 42 to start organizing your photo essay
