Learning Target -
When I leave Mr. Reynolds’ room, I will have read Ch. 4 of The Ghost Map and discussed it for how the disease ravages the residents. I will also have completed my expertise narrative rough draft.
Classroom Tasks -
* Discussion of Ch. 4 of The Ghost Map.
* Return Rite of Passage drafts.
* Read Ch. 5 of The Ghost Map.
Homework -
Ch. 5 of The Ghost Map.
Evidence -
I know I will have met the learning target for Mr. Reynolds' class because of the discussions questions I answer for Ch. 4. I will also examine my rough draft of my rite of passage for its effectiveness.
Tuesday (10.13)
Learning Target -
When I leave Mr. Reynolds’ room, I will have taken a quiz on Ch. 5 of The Ghost Map. I will also have selected either my rite of passage or expertise draft to submit for my final draft of theme #2 (due Thursday).
Classroom Tasks -
* Quiz on Ch. 5 of The Ghost Map.
* Introduction to our third theme - a how to.
* Assign Ch. 6 of The Ghost Map.
Homework -
None.
Evidence -
I know I will have met the learning target when I took the Ch. 5 quiz and selected either my rite of passage or expertise essay.
Wednesday (10.14) - LINC
Learning Target -
When I leave Mr. Reynolds’ room, I will have read Ch. 6 and taken a quiz on it. I will workshop my rough draft (either the rite of passage or expertise) to prepare it for submission on line on Thursday.
Classroom Tasks -
* Quiz on Ch. 6 and discussion.
* Peer edit work on rite of passage or expertise.
Homework -
Read Ch. 7-8 and finish the book.
Complete the review assignment.
Evidence -
I know I will have revised my second draft of my narrative (either rite of passage or expertise) and completed the book and review activity for Monday. Final Ghost Map test will be on Tuesday.
