Monday (11.17)
Learning Target:
When students leave my classroom, they will have submitted their lesson plans for Steal Like an Artist and evaluated Aime Mullins' TED Talks for the five areas of innovation.
Classroom Tasks:
Students will have the block to finish their lesson plans for Steal Like an Artist and share their lessons with me on Drive. Students will then watch Aime Mullins' two TED Talks and then write an essay tracing how she hits each of the five areas of innovation in her talks.
Homework:
Students will prepare their lesson plans for this week.
Evidence:
Students will share their lesson plans and submit their essay.
Tuesday (11.18)
Learning Target:
When students leave my classroom, they will have presented lesson plans on Ch. 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 of Steal Like an Artist.
Classroom Tasks:
Students will go through a lesson plan prepared by their peers for the first four chapters of Steal Like an Artist.
Homework:
None.
Evidence:
Students will produce evidence of what they learned from Ch. 1-4 of Steal Like an Artist.
Wednesday (11.19)
Learning Target:
When students leave my classroom, they will have presented lesson plans on Ch. 5 and 6 of Steal Like an Artist.
Classroom Tasks:
Students will go through a lesson plan prepared by their peers for the first four chapters of Steal Like an Artist.
Homework:
None.
Evidence:
Students will produce evidence of what they learned from Ch. 5 and 6 of Steal Like an Artist.
Thursday (11.20)
Learning Target:
When students leave my classroom, they will have watch the episode "Clean" of Steven Johnson's How We Got to Now and writing an essay tracing how innovation led to the invention of "clean."
Classroom Tasks:
Students will watch the episode "Clean" and write an analysis of it. Each student will be give five over arching questions to chart throughout the episode. They then will be each given two names of people or inventions (at random) to define throughout the episode. When done students must work in groups to chart how their people or inventions lead to "Clean" breakthroughs.
Homework:
Students will complete their essay and prepare their final batch of lesson plans.
Evidence:
Students will submit their essay via Drive.
Friday (11.21)
Learning Target:
When students leave my classroom, they will have presented lesson plans on Ch. 7 and 8 and 9 and 10 of Steal Like an Artist.
Classroom Tasks:
Students will go through a lesson plan prepared by their peers for the final four chapters of Steal Like an Artist.
Homework:
None.
Evidence:
Students will produce evidence of what they learned from Ch.7-10 of Steal Like an Artist.
