Monday -
Learning Target - When students leave my room, they will have worked on the key reading and comprehension skills of finding main ideas, recalling facts, and making inferences. Students will also apply these skills to Winterkill (reading in class).
Classroom Activities - Work on reading comprehension skills packets (one selection from Mysteries and Monsters and a second selection from Amazing Rescues). Reading and recalling using Winterkill.
Homework - None.
Evidence of Learning - Students will submit their reading packets for me to evaluate and give them feedback on regarding identifying main ideas, recalling facts, and making inferences. I will also guide students in applying those skills to Winterkill as we read it aloud in class.
Tuesday -

Wednesday - LINC - Friday
Learning Target - Students will go down to the media center for bench marking to ascertain their reading levels with Mrs. Johnson.
Classroom Activities - Students will go down individually to test for their reading levels.
Homework - None
Evidence of Learning - Once students reading levels are found, strategies will be put in place to help them as we begin working with our Collections 9 textbook.
