Learning Target - Students will review the key concepts of Ch. 7 (how Snow built up his case to convince the London planners to remove the pump handle, how Whitehead's opposition actually helps Snow prove his case, and the fall out of the decision).
Classroom Activities - Review Ch. 7. Introduce theme #5 (film review). Begin analyzing film techniques. Intro to Jaws.
Homework - None.
Evidence of Learning - Students will share verbally responses to the key questions from the learning target.

Learning Target - Students will analyze Jaws for elements of power of suggestion and theme.
Classroom Activities - Storify analysis on effective film techniques. Begin watching the film.
Homework - Prepare for review activity on Thursday.
Evidence of Learning - Students will analyze a scene from Jaws for the use of the power of suggestion and theme.
Extra credit - read this article and summarize why Jaws strikes fear into so many people. Share this with me by 10 am Thursday.
