Monday -
Learning Target - Students will leave class having two supporting paragraphs for their lit analysis on "YGB" done.
Classroom Activities - I will write a sample supporting paragraph in front of the class and guide them through the specific steps.
Homework - Develop a third paragraph.
Evidence of Learning - Students will illustrate their knowledge of the how to write a supporting paragraph for their lit analysis.
Tuesday -
Learning Target - Students will leave class having three supporting paragraphs for their lit analysis on "YGB" done.
Classroom Activities - I will write another sample supporting paragraph in front of the class and guide them through the specific steps. I will guide students as they revise their papers and paragraphs.
Homework - Finish a rough draft for Friday.
Evidence of Learning - Students will illustrate their knowledge of the how to write a supporting paragraph for their lit analysis.
Wednesday - LINC
Learning Target - Students will have a free reading and work day on either their literary analysis or their novel.
Classroom Activities - work time.
Homework - finish their novel #2 and lit analysis.
Evidence of Learning - Students will illustrate their knowledge of the how to write a supporting paragraph for their lit analysis.
Thursday -
Learning Target - When students leave they will have revised their lit analysis of "YGB" and been introduced to the final research paper format.
Classroom Activities - Work time on revising YGB analysis and being introduced to their final research paper.
Homework - Study for their novel test and finish YGB theme.
Evidence of Learning - Students will illustrate their knowledge of the how to write a supporting paragraph for their lit analysis.
Friday
Novel Test #2 -
Students will also complete their introduction and summaries for Monday. Students should also choose one theme to analyze in both novels.
