Monday (Feb. 8)
Learning Target - When students leave Mr. Reynolds' classroom, they will be able to explain how effective their first two snapshot moments for their rite of passage were in terms of description, imagery, detail, and dialogue/thoughts.
Class Activities -
* Return theme #1.
* Analyze professional example of a rite of passage for snapshots.
* Connect the two snapshots into a narrative.
Homework -
Turn the snapshots into a 3-4 page rite of passage narrative.
Evidence - Students will share their snapshots with me via Drive so I can give them feedback and suggestions on how to improve them.
Tuesday (Feb. 9)
Learning Target - When students leave Mr. Reynolds' classroom, they will have analyzed their rite of passage for how effectively it works as a narrative.
Class Activities -
* Revise essay 2.1 (rite of passage).
* Analyze the students examples I share.
* Work time to tweak and finish essay 2.1
Homework -
Turn the snapshots into a 3-4 page rite of passage narrative.
Evidence - Students will share their snapshots with me via Drive so I can give them feedback and suggestions on how to improve them.
Wednesday (Feb. 10)
Learning Target - When students leave Mr. Reynolds' classroom, they will be introduced to the second topic for theme #2, an expertise.
Class Activities -
* Write two snapshots for their expertise narrative.
* Analyze professional example of a expertise for snapshots.
* Connect the two snapshots into a narrative.
Homework -
Turn the snapshots into a 3-4 page expertise narrative.
Evidence - Students will share their snapshots with me via Drive so I can give them feedback and suggestions on how to improve them.
Thursday (Feb. 11)
Learning Target - When students leave Mr. Reynolds' classroom, they will identify how effectively their snapshots illustrate their expertise through imagery, detail, and dialogue/thoughts.
Class Activities -
* Workshop their expertise drafts.
* Analyze student examples of expertises.
* Connect the two snapshots into a narrative.
Homework -
Turn the snapshots into a 3-4 page expertise narrative.
Evidence - Students will share their snapshots with me via Drive so I can give them feedback and suggestions on how to improve them.
