Week 10 November 3 and 4
Monday (2.3)
Learning Target:
When students leave my classroom, they will have gone through tasks (puzzles, the spaghetti experiment, and number finds) to illustrate the concepts of "probing" and "telescoping."
Classroom Tasks:
Students will put small puzzles together to examine "probing." Students will then perform the spaghetti experiment for "probing." Finally, students will perform a math number find to illustrate "telescoping."
Homework:
Beging drafting their next theme, a personal analysis of a narrative that illustrates either "probing" or "telescoping"
Evidence:
Individual analysis of groups and their projects and students will submit their essay on Wednesday.
Tuesday (2.4)
Learning Target:
When students leave my classroom, they will have worked on writing their themes analyzing "probing" and "telescoping."
Classroom Tasks:
Students will have class time to work on their essays. Students will also begin reading Austin Kleon's Steal Like an Artist.
Homework:
Finish their "probing/telescoping" theme, due Wednesday.
Evidence:
Students will turn in their "probing/telescoping" themes.
