Someday, we hope the ENTIRE book of PSALMS will be translated; 

Till that day dawns, we will provide what has been completed to date.

NOTE:   Numbering system-- 

the first number is the Reformation (also the Hebrew Masoretic text.) numbering, and the 2nd number is the original Septuagint number.  The highlighted/hyperlink numbers are the Reformation numbers.

THIS site makes it OBVIOUS why we NEED to continue translation of the Scriptures into the CHEROKEE LANGUAGE.

It is NOT complete!

                As you can see below, only portions of the Psalms were published in the Cherokee Bible; [only about 2 dozen out of 150] however, over the past 200 years, additional psalm verses were translated as needed.  We have scoured old documents and sources, we have interviewed fluent Cherokee speakers, and we have collected many of these unpublished but already translated fragments. 

We will endeavor to add these to this site as we copy them from the (handwritten) notebooks we used to collect these verses in and we ask your patience as these are assembled here.

All of the KJV/English Translations will be posted first and as time allows, we will add the Cherokee Translations to those links.

Due to restraints on space at the prior site, we have moved the PSALMS to this site.  Please accept our apologies for some loss of formatting during this move; we will repair the loss of format/ improve the appearances of the pages in time.  Please bear in mind that this work is done completely by volunteers as they have time, and only when funding is made available by those who use this site can we afford to hire tasks out for faster completion.
