SUTTER’S FORT STAFF-GUIDED SCHOOL TOUR
POLICIES
IMPORTANT: THE SHOPPING CART TOTAL does not reflect the amount due upon arrival for your tour. ReserveCalifornia only makes reservations; it does not collect money (thus the $0 balance). Please read below and be prepared to pay upon arrival.

Reservations and Cancellations
· A maximum of 12 venues may be reserved per telephone call.
· Upon arrival at each facility, you must present your confirmation letter.
· To cancel a reservation for a school group, call 866-240-4655, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., 7 days a week.
· To cancel a reservation for a commercial group, call 916-445-3755, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.
· For same day cancellations or delayed arrivals, please call the park at 916-445-4422 or 916-445-3755.
Fees/Fee Waivers
· The fee for this program is $5 per participant, adults, and youth inclusive. This fee covers both program participation and site admission.
NO SHOWS – Due to the number of no shows at the Historic Sites venues, groups that fail to show for a reserved venue will be invoiced $25 per no show. If you are unable to attend a scheduled visit, please be considerate and cancel your reservation. A no show will prevent other from enjoying the experience and increase costs to the State.
DIRECTIONS
Traveling on I-80, from San Francisco, take Business 80/Hwy 50 east. Take the Business 80 exit (north towards Reno) to the N Street turn off. Travel straight on 30th Street then turn left under the freeway at L Street to the Fort, which will be located on your right. Monday - Saturday, bring quarters for the parking meters. Parking is free on Sundays

Sutter's Fort Staff-Guided School Tour:
· The fee for this program is $5 per participant, adults, and youth inclusive. This fee covers both program participation and site admission.
· Fees will be collected upon arrival at the historic site and are to be paid by card, cash, or check; make checks payable to Sutter’s Fort SHP.
· This program is for school/youth groups ONLY; adult groups CANNOT book.
· Total group size is limited to a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 35 persons per scheduled tour time, adults, and youth inclusive.

· Groups are required to have a minimum of 1 adult chaperone for every 10 children.
· This is a Staff-Guided Tour program, with a set series of stations led by State Parks staff and volunteers focused on the Fort’s history as a site of commerce and labor.
· This hour-long program is offered every 30 minutes on Wednesdays and Fridays with a break from 12:30 - 1:15 pm.
· Groups are welcome to remain in the Fort following their staff-guided tour in order to view additional rooms and exhibits at their own self-direction.
· Rules: No food or drink except bottled water. No running. No roughhousing. Students shall remain with their chaperones at all times.
· The booking window for the Sutter's Fort Staff-Guided Tour is 30 days; cancellation requires a 72-hour notice.
