Reservations are typically not created under a minor’s name; however, an exception applies when a discount or pass is issued specifically to a dependent (minor). For California State Parks (CADPR), this includes cases such as the 4th Grade Adventure Pass, which applies only to eligible 4th graders, or disabled discount passes assigned to minors.
In these situations, the dependent must be added to the account and the reservation created under their profile to ensure the discount is properly applied.
Using the Search for Customers feature in Neptune will only load the accounts HOH (Head of Household) profile. The search field will always display the primary name on an HOH account. It does not matter if the dependents profile is highlighted when the Select Button is clicked. Below are instructions on how to process a reservation using the dependents account.
1) Make sure that no customer has been selected.
2) Select the desired campsites and click the Reserve Button.
3) This will give you an option to Search For Customer.
4) Enter the dependents email address. This will load the Dependents profile. Simply click the Select Customer button to load the dependents profile into the pre-cart.
If there is no email address on file for the Dependents profile, then search using the phone number associated with the HOH profile.
Typically, a dependents profile will have the phone number and mailing address of the HOH account.
The results will display all the profiles in the system that have that number associated with them.
The profile of the dependent should be displayed.
Simply highlight that profile and click on the Select Customer button to load the dependents profile into the pre-cart.
5) The dependents profile will be loaded and the Customer Classification field will display the classification of the dependents profile.
6) Complete the booking process!
