Golden Mussel Quarantine Procedures (Effective April 14, 2025)

Overview

Beginning April 14, 2025, Folsom Lake and Lake Clementine will be closed to all trailered or motorized vessels unless the vessel has completed a mandatory 30-day quarantine. This new policy is part of the Golden Mussel Prevention Program.

Boat Launch Restrictions

• • From April 14, 2025, all boats must undergo a 30-day quarantine before launching.

  • Starting May 14, 2025, all trailered or motorized vessels must have an intact and verified quarantine and/or decontamination seal to enter either body of water.
    
    

Swimming and paddling remain allowed.

Camping Policies

Camping remains open at all locations. ❗This is an FYI only—cancellations are not being proactively processed.❗

• • Cancellation fees may be waived at the following campgrounds:

    • 1. Folsom Lake SRA

      2. Auburn SRA
         
         

  • No cancellation fee waivers for:

    • 1. Folsom Lake Glamping
