The Call Center will NOT enroll guests in Junior Lifeguard Activities.
The guest may also reach out to the JG Coordinator for the specific park they are interested in below.
Note: JG Coordinators cannot make the registrations for the visitors. They can make modifications and cancellations and help with any specific questions that a visitor has that is not on the specific JG program web page.

Guests can enroll by navigating to www.parks.ca.gov, in the header navigate to the Magnifying Glass Icon to search for Junior Lifeguard Program.
The guest will be presented with a list of results and will need to select the California State Parks Junior Lifeguard Program link.
This will bring the guest to the list of a Junior Lifeguard Programs and their associated State Park. The guest will scroll and locate the Program Website to enroll. (Links to each of these programs and their JG Coordinator can be found below.)

Below documents the general rules regarding the Junior Lifeguard Program at each park:
● Sign up start and end date are controlled by each park’s Junior Lifeguard (JG) coordinator
● Program cost varies by park
● Sibling discount price is controlled by each park’s JG coordinator through usage classification on activity set up. Though a sibling discount is not required to be offered by a park, the sibling discount price at each park is not to exceed $25.
● Customer can’t modify or cancel reservations online but can update enrollment questions online.
● If a customer needs to modify or cancel their reservation, they should contact the park’s JG coordinator for their program.
● Assistant JG membership - assigned by each park’s JG coordinator to allow customer to enroll in assistant sessions.
● Except for Scholarship, Charter School students or Admin membership, payment must be provided in full at the time of reservation:
○ For Charter Schools, no fee is collected through R2S2 at the time of reservation. JG fees are fully paid after services are completed.
○ Distribution of 100% scholarships is assigned by each park’s JG coordinator
○ Distribution of 50% scholarships is assigned by each parks JG coordinator
