Open the Date-Based Matrix (grid) screen and search for the desired park and facility.
Next select the desired arrival date.
Notice the Legend at the bottom of the Date-Based Matrix which identifies the status of the units by color-coding.
Choose the unit and date being reserved.
Click in the grid for the starting date of the reservation. The square turns grey, indicating that it is selected. Click and hold to select the number of nights to reserve.
Please keep in mind your selection will not change colors until you let go of your mouse button.
Note: An ADA icon will identify Accessible Campsites and lodging units.
Click on the Reserve (paper) Icon.
This will load the Unit Pre-Cart at the Booking Information tab.
From here we can Search For Customer to locate the guests account.
If the guest has any associated Classifications it will appear under the search result.
If the account holder would like to appoint another party for check-in, we can update the Occupant Name here.
Next, you will enter the Camping Unit Type. These options are site specific.
Usage Classifications are associated with State offered Discounts.
Senior Citizen Camping Discount: for seniors over the age of 62
CSPF Discount: For members of the California State Parks Foundation
If the site selected is an ADA site, we must verify the guest is a person with a disability by selecting the ADA Qualification Type and the ADA Validation Number.
Note: You can find your ADA member number on your membership card.
One vehicle fee is included with the reservation; second and third vehicles will incur an additional day use fee. An extra vehicle fee will be charged per car per night at each site. Fee amount varies by park. Fees are due on arrival at the park and cannot be paid in advance through ReserveCalifornia™ or the Call Center.
In order to process the reservation you must enter the guests vehicle information by selecting + Add Vehicle.
This will open the Enter Vehicle window.
First choose the appropriate Class.
Note: If the guest does not have their license plate number available, you may select Other to bypass the entry. Ensure you are selecting the appropriate number of occupants, seen in the next step.
From here, we are also going to select the number of occupants.
Max occupancy for most parks is 8 people. You will notice that as we change the number of occupants, the partnered field will only leave the available number of a occupants as to not exceed 8 people.
Next, select Add New License and enter the guests license plate number.
If the guest has an existing License Plate on file, it will be available to select.
Choose the type of vehicle that is plated with this license plate.
Lastly, select the State and hit Continue.
You should now see the vehicle plate added to the Vehicles and Occupancy section of the Unit Pre-Cart.
Before continuing, you will now as the guest to Reverse Verify their reservation details, by repeating back to you, the name of the State Park, the Site number along with the Arrival and Departure Date, including the month.
If everything matches, select Continue.
Note: Do not select Tender as this will bypass your Must Reads.
Any relevant Must Reads will appear here. These are a NOT A REQUIREMENT as this pertinent information will be sent to the guest via their Confirmation Receipt.
Select OK to continue to the Tender Payment window.
