LAZ Parking FAQ: State Park Peace Officers
LAZ Parking will replace Yodel. Please note that LAZ Parking will not offer the reserve ahead for the same day parking Yodel offered.
From a visitor's perspective, they will be able to purchase parking by scanning the QR code or texting a location code to the specified number on the parking signage. The customer will then complete the transaction in the mobile web. Customers will no longer be required to download an app or create an account to purchase parking.
From a parking enforcement perspective, LAZ Parking will be integrated into DPR's existing parking enforcement software, DataTicket. The intent is to provide the same information in the tool that Yodel currently provides.
From a parking administration perspective, all Parks on Yodel will need to contact LAZ Parking to configure their parking fee structure and schedule. Parks will also need to contact LAZ Parking to manage unexpected lot closures. More information about this process will be provided once available.
LAZParking data will be integrated into DataTicket, for Districts who use this software for enforcement purposes. The Project is continuing to have discussions to determine the best enforcement approach for Districts who do not use DataTicket. More information will be provided once available.
Please note that LAZParking will not provide ticket writers.
LAZParking will not support different languages. However, the Project will explore the enhancement for a future date.
LAZ Parking will not have access to the CA State Park passes to apply parking discounts, but the Project will explore this integration for a later date.
The intent is to simply replace Yodel and set up the foundation to be able to bring parking enhancements to DPR in the future.
Yes, the Project will provide training materials that walk through the visitor's experience using
LAZParking to pay for parking. We also plan to provide information about the LAZParking integration into DataTicket.
Parking administration will be managed by LAZParking (e.g., configuring parking rates, closing lots, etc.). More information about how to contact LAZParking will be provided once available.
