LELAND STANFORD MANSION TOURS

Welcome to the Leland Stanford Mansion State Historic Park (SHP), a stunning example of the splendor and elegance of the Victorian era in California.

On this 45-minute guided tour you will explore three levels of the mansion and learn about Leland Stanford and his family, the young girls who called this place home for many decades, and how the home itself reflects California history. The Mansion also serves as the state’s official reception center for leaders from around the world. Tours are wheelchair accessible.

Public Tours

Available every day at every hour, with the first tour starting at 10 AM PST and the last tour starting at 4:00 PM PST.

- - Each Tour can accommodate up to 10 visitors
  - Earliest Booking Date (Call Center): 1 hour before the desired tour

Group Tours

Available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 9:30 AM, 10 AM, 10:30 AM, 2 PM and 2:30 PM

- - 3 tour options will be available for each time above (e.g., 3 group tours will be available for the 9:30 timeslot)
  - Each Group Tour can accommodate up to 15 visitors
  - Earliest Booking Date (Call Center): 14 days from today

Booking Information:

Booking Options for Visitors: ReserveCalifornia or the Contact Center.
- Visitors will not be allowed to book within 48 hours of the tour time on ReserveCalifornia.

Tour Price:

Free for School Group Tours
Fees for Non-School Group Tours may be collected upon arrival at the Park (e.g., commercial tours, senior group, etc.). The Park will contact the School/Group Leader regarding payment directly.

Booking Process for Visitors:

1. Navigate to the Activity Page on ReserveCalifornia

2. Filter the Category to Guided Tours

3. Filter the Location to Leland Stanford Mansion

4. Select the Desired Date and click Show Availability to view available tour slots

Important note: In the case where the Governor has an event, all public and group tours may be cancelled with short notice. Please be prepared to assist visitors with rescheduling if this occurs.

Leland Stanford Haunted Mansion Tour

Tour Time:

- 1 pm – 9 pm
- Last Tour will be at 8:00 pm
- Duration of Tour: 30 minute
- Tours will go every half hour

Date of Inventory:

- 10/24-10/31
- Release of Inventory: 10/1
- End of Inventory: 10/31
- All 20 available seats will be on ReserveCA/Call Center as Inventory

Fees:

- Entirely Free Tour
- Will need to distinguish Department Type for tracking.

Occupancy:

- 20 People per Tour
- Parks would like to put a cap at how many tickets are bought per family
- Tickets on ReserveCA will be categorized as Adult and Child (this will help with tracking)
- Potentially, if the tour is made up of kids, may be able to take more kids as walk ups.
- Add new Category – called Stanford Mansion Halloween Tours
- Potentially will have to block off inventory for special guests - may be able to put exceptions through R2S2
