Once you have clicked the Reserve button for the visitor’s desired reservation date and Unit Type, the Unit Pre Cart window will display. Let’s explore the updated tabs below:
1. Details (new): This tab includes all the information previously located in the Booking Information tab, as well as the Occupant Phone Number and number of Adults and Children on the reservation.
2. Amenities (existing): This tab will contain the same information as the previous Amenities tab.
3. Vehicles (new): This tab includes all vehicle and occupancy information previously located in the Booking Information tab.
4. Special Remarks (new): This tab will contain any important unit-specific information and restrictions relevant to the visitor (i.e. “2 vehicle limit enforced. Trailers count as a vehicle. Dogs must be leashed in the campground and on trails.”)
The Details tab in the Unit Pre Cart lists important customer information like Occupant Name, Arrival Date, and number of nights the visitor is staying, among other relevant reservation information. The new fields located on this tab are Occupant Phone Number and fields for number of Adults and Children for the reservation.
There is a new Vehicles tab in the Unit Pre Cart. When checking in visitors for their camping reservations in R2S2, the process for checking in their vehicles (if any) is now separate. Vehicles can be checked in under the Vehicles tab.
Within the Vehicles tab, there is a table listing each vehicle tied to the reservation, with details including:
1. Status: This column indicates the status of the vehicle as Reserved, Checked in, or Checked Out .
2. Action: In this column, staff can delete the vehicle using the trash can icon or edit the vehicle information using the pencil icon .
3. Class: This column indicates the vehicle class (i.e. Primary, Extra, etc.).
4. Plate: This column shows the vehicle’s license plate.
5. Type: This column describes what kind of vehicle it is (i.e. van, boat).
6. Nights: This column indicates how many nights the vehicle will be at the park.
7. Due in / Due out: This column provides the dates of when the vehicle is due in and due out of the park.
If you need to add a new vehicle to a visitor’s reservation, follow these steps within the Vehicles tab:
Click the Add Vehicle button.
2. The Enter Vehicle page will display with the vehicle information fields from the table on the Vehicles tab. The Due In, Due Out, and Nights fields will pre-populate based on the existing reservation information.
3. Select an existing license plate from the Select License drop-down menu or select Add New License to type in a new license plate number. Then, select the vehicle type from the drop-down menu. The vehicle state will auto-populate to California.
4. Select the vehicle class from the Class drop-down menu.
5. When all vehicle information has been entered, click Continue.
6. The newly added vehicle will appear in the table on the Vehicles tab.
Please note: While visitor input for vehicle information cannot be edited, vehicles can be deleted using the trash can icon. New vehicles can be added by clicking the Add Vehicle button. If you try to edit vehicle information that was provided by the visitor, those fields will be greyed out, but you can edit the Class, Due In, and Due Out fields as needed.
