To access the Journal, first open up the tray by selecting the 9 square in the bottom left corner of Neptune.
Click on the Journal Icon.
The Journal window will open up and we can now see all the recent transactions for this State entity as well as search by Dates, Confirmation Number, Customer and Batch Number. We typically search via the Confirmation Number and Customer.
In the Customer search, we can search by name as well as phone.
After entering your search criteria hit Apply Filter to view the associated results.
From here we can see all the transactions associated with the Confirmation number we searched.
Notice we can validate the source of the reservation/modification/cancellation to the far left under the Store column.
We can see the transaction amount in the Total column, along with the Date and Time in which the transaction happened.
You can also drill down to the Cashier to determine who processed the transaction.
To view the receipt for the transaction, double click on the associated line item.
This will load the receipt, in which we can identify the reservation details, any changes that were made and how the transaction was tendered.
In the event you need to resend the confirmation to the guest, you can scroll to the bottom of the receipt and select Email.
From here you can validate the email address we have on file and process the receipt to the guest by hitting Email and Send.
