POLICIES
IMPORTANT: THE SHOPPING CART TOTAL does not reflect the amount due upon arrival for your tour. ReserveCalifornia only makes reservations; it does not collect money (thus the $0 balance). Please read below and be prepared to pay upon arrival.

• Go to the page for our museum for school guidelines specific to our historic site and your tour.
• Park staff reserves the right to cancel reservations for groups arriving more than 10 minutes after their scheduled arrival time and to combine groups when necessary.
Reservations and Cancellations
• A maximum of 12 venues may be reserved per telephone call.
• Upon arrival at each facility, you must present your confirmation letter.
• To cancel a reservation for a school group call 866-240-4655, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., 7 days a week.
Fees/Fee Waivers
• Available at limited sites: Two free adult admissions per 10 students for school reservations.
NO SHOWS – Due to the number of no shows at the Historic Sites venues, groups that fail to show for a reserved venue will be invoiced $25 per no show. If you are unable to attend a scheduled visit, please be considerate and cancel your reservation. A no show will prevent others from enjoying the experience and increase costs to the State.

• Park Entrance is approximately 0.2 miles on right

Sonoma Mission (S):
Fees will be collected upon arrival, please bring confirmation letter. If touring GENERAL VALLEJO’S HOME OR PETALUMA ADOBE STATE HISTORIC PARK, fees for all sites visited that day will be collected at the mission.

A $40.00 flat fee per group is paid on day of school tour by cash or check made out to DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION. Tours booked at General Vallejo’s Home or Petaluma Adobe State Historic Park for the same day visit will be charged AN ADDITIONAL flat fee of $10.00 per location.
Single Tour is open to ONLY ONE Class.
35-person maximum per tour = 30 students and five parent chaperones including one teacher; one adult chaperone for every 8 students is requested and must stay with students at all times.
Tours run 45-55 minutes.
For same day (or within 24 hours) cancellations, please call the park at 707-938-9560. If you are unable to attend a scheduled visit, please be considerate of park staffing needs and cancel your reservation as soon as possible.
NOTE: Unexpected staff changes may affect our ability to provide a tour guide. In these cases, you will be provided a self-guided tour pamphlet. The group reservation fee will not be waived.
• Teacher is responsible for group behavior in a museum setting.
• Our standard tour is designed for 4th graders. Please call the site upon reservation confirmation to inform staff or a different age group.
• Please notify tour staff upon arrival of students with special needs.
• Cell phone, tablet and questionnaire use during tour is dependent upon tour guide.
• The booking window for Sonoma Mission is 14 days.
• Food, drink. and gum are NOT allowed.
• Fee waivers and scholarships are not available at this time.
• Visit www.parks.ca.gov and enter into search “Sonoma State Historic Park” or “Petaluma Adobe State Historic Park” for school tour and park information. (Some teachers allow their students to visit the Sonoma Barracks Bookstore and Gift Shop if time allows).
• Sonoma Barracks: Schools may self-guide in conjunction with the general public during regular business hours and do NOT require a reservation or additional fee.
