Crystal Cove Beach Cottages: Phase III Restoration:

Availability on the ReserveCalifornia website is accurate.

Significant construction activities are taking place in the Crystal Cove State Park Historic District. The construction process includes installing all new infrastructure and restoring the remaining cottages for public use as overnight rental cottages.
Construction activities will be most noticeable from the North Beach Cottages, as well as the upper bluff cottages. Cottages #18, #29, #38 & #39 are located near the construction project entrance. The cottages located in the lower hollow will not be affected.
Construction activities are limited to weekdays from 8:00AM to 4:30PM, with no work on State or National holidays. Access to park facilities will not change.
The construction process may at times cause some inconvenience but we are certain that any short term inconvenience will be more than offset by the long term benefit of adding 22 additional overnight rental units all of which will be available to the general public.

Crystal Cove – Max Stay Policy Cancellations & Refunds

If customer calls about a cancellation/refund

I understand you’re calling about your cancelled reservation. Let me explain what happened.

Your reservation was cancelled and refunded because it was booked outside of the California Maximum Stay Policy. This policy limits the length of time guests can stay within a certain period at California State Parks facilities, including Crystal Cove Beach Cottages.

By creating this reservation, the guest acknowledged the Special Remarks as well as the Modification, Cancellation, and Early Out Policies as seen below.

IMPORTANT: COTTAGE RATES are subject to change based on annual consumer pricing index (CPI). Any additional amount will be collected at the Cottages at the time of check-in.
FOR THE COTTAGES, THERE IS A 7-NIGHT MAXIMUM PER CALENDAR YEAR."

Crystal Cove Beach Cottages Rental Rates, lists out the rental rates for each cottage. These rates are as of March 1st, 2024. New prices are updated for the cottages on March 1st of each year. Inventory with the new prices can be reserved starting August 25th on ReserveCalifornia™ or through the Contact Center.

With a daily rolling window, you have the opportunity to reserve a cottage up to six months in the future from the current day.
Dorms are bookable 30 days in the future from the current day.
Bookings may extend from the arrival date to the desired departure date, based on availability, up to a maximum of seven days.

Cancellation Policy

The $8.25 reservation fee is non-refundable.

Crystal Cove Beach Cottages: Customers will be charged a $8.25 cancellation fee if cancelled 7 days or more prior to the day of arrival. Cancelling your reservation 6 days or less to the arrival date you will be charged a cancellation fee of $8.25 and the first night’s campsite fee.

No modifications will be accepted for Crystal Cove Cottages.
