Enjoy a guided tour of the limestone caverns made famous by Jack and Ida Mitchell in the mid-1900s. Descend the steps from the Mojave Desert into the caverns where you have the opportunity to view spectacular formations such as stalagmites.
The tour is approximately two hours and involves a 1.5 mile moderate hike from the Visitor Center to the caverns, through the caverns, and returning to the Visitor Center. The pathway through the caverns include uneven steps, steep grades, low ceilings and may not be accessible to persons with mobility limitations.
No strollers or wheelchairs permitted in the caverns. Tour not ADA accessible. No pets on tour. Tour is not recommended for infants/young children. Extreme weather conditions possible.

Cancellations are allowed minus registration fee ($2). Modifications are not allowed.
Adult $20, Senior $19, Child 16 and under $10. Registration fee is $2 for everyone.
Check in 30 minutes before tour. Late arrivals may lose their tour spots.
Tours take about two hours.
The tour length is 1.5 miles round trip and is not ADA accessible: uneven steps, steep grades, and low ceilings.
Wear close-toed walking or hiking shoes for the tour.
Drink plenty of water and be sure to eat.
The park is isolated and there are no local services. Make sure you have fuel, food, and water.
Cell reception is spotty and GPS service directions are not always accurate. Bring a map.
Weather conditions can be extreme and effect road conditions.
Tour is not recommended for infants. No strollers or carriers in the caves.
No pets in caves, on trails, or left unattended.
White Nose Syndrome is a disease caused by a fungus that is deadly to bats but harmless to humans. However, we can spread it. Do not wear any clothing, footwear, or gear that has been in another cave, mine, or lava tube.
Session Notes:
