In the example below, we can see the state park has 0 Available Sites.
Notice we are also presented with availability at nearby state parks. This includes the number of sites available and the distance the suggested park is from the requested park.
To continue with creating a reservation at the desired state park, the guest will click on the state park they are interested in that is showing availability.
In this example we are going to select, Lake Perris SRA.
The following page will narrow down the facility types and their availability. To choose an open site, the guest will click on the facility that is showing open availability with the number of sites in a green box.
This will populate the grid, presenting the guest with the available sites in the associated loop/location. The guest can view the map prior to selecting a site.
Upon selecting a site, the guest will be presented with a photo of the site (if available) along with the Unit Details, Amenities and Remarks.
If the guest wishes to book the site selected, they will select the Book Now button.
Next, the guest will view and update their Reservation Details. This is equivalent to what we see in the unit pre-cart in Neptune.
Here the guest is provided with the State Park, the site number, the check-in and check-out times along with the site type and occupancy/stay limits.
Below the Unit Details, the guest can view the Special Remarks, Amenities, Allowed Camping Units and Additional Info. The guest must Agree to the Terms and Conditions to continue.
The guest can also view the Reservation Dates from this page. Here they can edit the number of nights they wish to stay if the unit is available.
For discounts, the guest will utilize the drop-down located under the Classification in the Rates section.
The guest will choose the number of occupants, identifying the number of adults and children. As well as the number of vehicles they plan to have on-site.
Lastly, the guest will choose the camping unit type, the camping unit length, the Occupant Name and any Promo Codes.
Note: the Occupant Name will be the name of the person checking into the site.
When the guest is ready to proceed, they will scroll to the bottom of the page, ensure they have agreed to the above terms and conditions, and select Reserve Unit.
The reservation is now in the guest's shopping cart. Notice there is now a timer in the top right-hand corner. The reservation will remain in the guests cart until the timer runs out.
After reviewing the Reservation Details, the guest will scroll to the bottom check the I'm not a robot captcha and select Go to Checkout.
The guest will be prompted to tender their payment to complete the reservation.
After entering their Credit Card information and billing address associated with the card, the guest will select Complete to process the payment.
In the event, the guest contacts you because they were attempting their reservation online but then chose to call in. As a result, you are seeing X's in place of the empty space on the grid in Neptune. Because the guest put the reservation in their shopping cart, we have to wait for their time to expire to open up the space.
Instruct the guest to navigate to their shopping cart in Mercury and verify they have an item in their cart.
Once the guest has confirmed the reservation is still in their shopping cart, instruct the guest to click on the Cart.
This will bring the guest back to their shopping cart. From here, the guest can select Empty Cart at the bottom left side of the page.
A new window will appear and the guest will confirm they wish to Empty Cart.
Refresh in Neptune, and you will now see the site available for booking.
