Grand Room Tour

Accessibly Designed Grand Room Tour

This bus is designed to be a wheelchair accessible bus

If wheelchair needed, must have someone to assist
Main building La Casa Grande, Assembly Room, Refectory, Morning Room, Billiard Room, Theater, Gardens, Neptune Pool and Roman Pool.
Separate entrance for this tour, possibility to meet up with family/group on Grand Rooms tour at the same time.
Only one non-transferable wheelchair or scooter on each tour.

The Julia Morgan tour takes an in-depth look at the life and career of this extraordinary woman. View rarely seen areas of Hearst Castle that highlight her gift for design, and photographic displays of architectural drawings, family photos, and personal items that reveal the person she was.

School Tours at Hearst castle provide students with an interactive experience that will spark interest and stimulate their curiosity. They will hear the story and history of Hearst Castle while observing and analyzing pieces of William Randolph Hearst’s extensive art collection. Students will see how history connects to the world we live in today through many primary and secondary sources, authentic historical objects, and exhibits. School tours are aligned with the California History-Social Studies Framework, STEAM disciplines, and California Department of Education Content Standards K – 12.

Can book starting in September, up to 14 days in advance. Tickets can be placed on hold but must be paid at least 14 days prior to the tour.
