Approximately where the parking lot is now found, the Tyrell Tavern once flourished. [It] stood on the south side of the old highway approximately where a parking lot [for the HCRH State Trail Tooth Rock Trailhead] has recently been built for visitors who wish to access the remnants of the old highway between Moffett Creek and Cascade Locks.
