"I have no idea when it closed — satellite imagery so far hasn’t been helpful — but it was still shown in the March 2006 Hwy #2 straightline chart between mileposts 49.28 and 49.56 eastbound. It was removed in the March 2010 straightline chart, but oddly enough the ramps were kept, simply shown as 'road's."

I have no memory of this station being open, and I started driving through the gorge fairly frequently starting around 2004 (I lived in Seattle until 2002 and didn't have a car until 2004). Ledbetter points out that construction began on the new Port of Entry weigh station in Cascade Locks in "mid-August 1988", and I am assuming that it would have quickly replaced this station, if it was still open at the time.

Today this large turnout is used mostly by boondocking truckers (and as a parking area to access the abandoned Weigh Station Fragment of the CRH!).
