The photos below are looking across the gap crossed by the viaduct to the actual site of the tunnel itself. The pavement we see once was actually the road bed inside of the tunnel.

The photos below show the east end of the viaduct entering the tunnel. Note the railing in the foreground as opposed to the stone arches inside the tunnel itself.
