"About 100 feet west of [the Latourell Highway Bridge] are cement foundations on either side of the road that supported the ends of a footbridge. This bridge, commonly seen in early pictures of this area, was once part of the trail that leads from the town of Latourell to the falls. Although the trail still exists, the bridge does not."
