Columbia Vista Motor Lodge

Clarence E. Mershon lists the Bonny Villa and the Columbia Vista Motor Lodge between McCord Creek and Moffett Creek in the chapter "A Tour Back in Time" in his book East of the Sandy: The Columbia River Highway.

Recently, I was told that some "interesting" stuff has been found off the north shoulder of the westbound lanes of I-84 in this area, and I wonder if the old foundations of these establishments might be found out there. I see a new field trip on the horizon!

"Also in this area [near The Bonny Villa, west of Bonneville], the Columbia Vista Motor Lodge provided overnight accommodations for tourists. It sat above the railroad tracks on the north side of the highway."
