Sandy River to Chanticleer Point

From near the location of John Harlow's ferry across the Sandy River to Chanticleer Point... By 1899, the road's route was firmly established along the Woodard Road / Mershon Road alignment, though the route shown in the video above should be considered an approximation of the original road's path over the hill.

At Chanticleer Point, the Rooster Rock Road is not the 1872 road, but it did drop down to the foot of Crown Point through the same drainage. There are only a few fragments of the old grade left there and they are very difficult to locate due to the terrain and vegetation.
