Hanneman Farm

Clarence E. Mershon, East of the Sandy: The Columbia River Highway

[Frank] Knieriem helped build several of the buildings in the vicinity, including... the Hanneman barn and home.

...

In 1921... the Hanneman family had a large barn and home built. Mr. Hanneman ran a pure-bred Jersey herd and sold his dairy products directly to consumers at this location. He produced a soft ice cream for which he became locally famous. Eventually, it became a regular stop for tourists as well as local patrons.
