Wyeth Bench Roads

These roads are remarkably well engineered for being abandoned to the woods and for, seemingly, leading nowhere.

We met the fellow who told us about the old route of the Wyeth Road out on the "eastern" road here, and he said that he actually worked on a crew building these roads. They were put in by the state primarily to help secure the hillside, he said, since the whole thing is basically one slow landslide aimed at, eventually, shutting down I-84.

I haven't fully explored these roads yet, but I do have some photos that I should be putting up, eventually, if they survived the data losses.
