Maxine's Recipe ~ Chocolate Applesauce Cake

⭐  Chocolate Applesauce Cake

½  cup oil

1  C sugar

1  egg

1½  C flour

⅓ c  cocoa unsweetened

1½  t  cinnamon

1  t cinnamon

1  t baking soda

1  C unsweetened applesauce 

Preheat oven 350°.  Spray 8” sq. pan

Beat oil, sugar & egg in large bowl til pales

In color & fluffy.  Sift flour w/cocoa, 

cinnamon & baking soda.  Stir flour mixture

Alternately w/applesauce into egg mix & mix well

Pour batter into pan.  Bake til clean toothpick

25 - 30 min for 9” or 35” [minutes ???] for 8” wire rack
