BEEF TURNOVERS
(Meat Pies)
Crust:
3½ C flour
1 C shortening (¾ C oil)
1 T sugar
1 t salt
Add enough water (clearly too much water - try) to one egg to make a cup & 1 T vinegar - Roll out in circles like tortillas
Meat filling:
2 lbs gr. Beef
ch. small onion
2 shredded carrots
3 small potatoes
Salt & pepper to taste - little garlic salt, seasoning salt -
Place ⅔ C (or ¾) on crust & fold over, pinch edges. Bake 325° on cookie sheet - 40 min. or golden brown
Use gravy mix on top (sauce)
