French Dipped Sandwiches ~ Fern Smith
One cheap roast - wrap in foil (first cover w/ one pkg Lipton onion soup mix)
Bake at 225° for 5 hours. Cool.
Put in fridge to cool, then cut in thin slices on the diagonal.
Lay in roasting pan, season w/ salt & peppers & juices.
Add:
(Mixed according to pkg instructions.)
1 envelope au jus mix
1 envelope Good Seasons Italian salad dressing
Pour over meat & cook another 40 min.
