Eva's Dilly Rolls
Dilly Rolls ~ Eva Mertlich
1 16 oz cottage cheese
2 T oil
2 T yeast
½ C warm water
2 eggs slightly beaten
¼ C sugar
2 T dry minced onion
One to two T dill weed
1 t salt (too much - use less)
½ t soda
4½ to 5 C flour
Heat cheese & oil (to warm) watch! In large mixer put warm water & yeast - Add eggs, sugar, onion, dill, salt, baking soda, and cottage cheese & oil.
Add 3 C flour & beat smooth. Add rest of flour & beat. Dough should be sticky.
Knead till smooth.
Rise 1 hour or until double.
Punch down, form into balls.
Rise double & bake 350° about 17 min in my oven ~ watch
