The long-awaited Parish Pictorial Directories have arrived—just in time to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the dedication of our church!
If you had your photo taken, your complimentary copy can be picked up at the parish office during business hours. (Mon-Fri 8:00a.m-4:00p.m.) It’s a wonderful keepsake and a great way to put names with the friendly faces of our parish family!
Please note: Directories cannot be mailed, and only those who participated in the directory are eligible to receive one.
To date, we have raised $75,901.51 — that’s 51% of our parish goal! Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to this year’s Catholic Services Appeal. Your generosity helps support more than 100 ministries, services, and programs throughout the Archdiocese of Louisville. Let’s keep the momentum going and reach our goal together! Every gift—large or small—makes a lasting impact. For information on the work of the Archdiocese of Louisville, visit www.ArchLou.org/CSA.

Saturday, November 1st is All Saints Day. Since it falls on a Saturday this year it is not a holy day of obligation, but we will still celebrate it as a great Solemnity honoring all saints – the well known ones, as well as those whose names are known only to a few. This is a day to celebrate all in heaven who now rejoice in God’s presence. With that in mind, there are two opportunities to attend Mass. We will have a 9p.m. Candlelit Mass on October 31st and an 8:30a.m. Mass on November 1st .
November is the month the church sets aside specifically to honor and pray for those who have died. As Catholics we believe in Purgatory, that cleansing fire through which must pass “all who die in God’s grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church). November 2nd is the Commemoration of the Faithful Departed (All Souls Day) in which the Church prays for the dead.
This year, November 2nd falls on a Sunday, so we will celebrate this solemnity during our regularly scheduled Masses (4p.m. 8a.m. & 10:30a.m. In addition, we will have a special Mass of Remembrance Sunday evening, November 2nd, at 5p.m. During this Mass we will honor those who have been buried from our church since November of last year. Families of our deceased parishioners are invited to attend as well as anyone who has lost a loved one in the last year. Indeed, all are invited to this special Mass to pray for all souls, trusting that God will hear and answer our prayers that they will know eternal light and peace. At this Mass, names of the deceased from our parish are sung during a special Litany. Other names of those who have passed away since November, 2024 and whose funerals were held at other locations will be spoken during the Litany. For more information, contact Kristina Hellmann, Pastoral Associate, khellmann@stalbert.org or 425-3940 ext 169.
Saint Albert the Great School would like to extend a heartfelt invitation to all veterans and active-duty service members—along with their family members, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends—to join us as we celebrate Veterans Day Mass on Monday, November 11th at 9:45 a.m.
We would be deeply honored by your presence as we gather in gratitude for your service and sacrifice. Our hope is that our students may better understand what service, dedication, and love of country truly mean—through your inspiring example.
Veterans are invited to sit in the front rows during Mass. If you have children or grandchildren who attend Saint Albert, they are welcome to sit with you.
Please come and allow us the privilege of honoring you for all you have done for our country.

October 25th & 26th
Our Knights of Columbus Bishop Flaget Council is working with Catholic Charities, Little Way Pregnancy Resource Center, Golden Arrow and St. Vincent de Paul to provide winter coats for children in the Louisville area.
These organizations specify how many coats to purchase and determine the size. The Knights purchases the coats and accepts donations to cover the cost. These high quality coats are purchased directly from Knights of Columbus Supreme in New Haven, Connecticut for a cost of $20 each.
Last year through the generosity of St. Albert the Great and St. Bernadette, the Knights purchased 1,500 coats which accounted for 40% of the coats purchased in Kentucky.
Help them reach their goal of providing winter coats to children in our Louisville community! Donate in the back of church the weekend of October 25th & 26th!
