PARISH POST
our mission: TO INSPIRE PEOPLE TO LOVE, SERVE, AND KNOW GOD AND ONE ANOTHER.
June 22 - June 28, 2023
In This Issue:
WORSHIP
Eucharistic Adoration
Eucharistic Adoration will be offered once a week on Wednesday from 1:00-4:00pm. The best time you spend on earth is with Jesus, your Best Friend, in the Blessed Sacrament! “How great is the value of conversation with Christ in the Blessed Sacrament, for there is nothing more consoling on earth, nothing more efficacious for advancing along the road of holiness!” -Pope Paul VI
Summer Office Hours
As is the Archdiocese tradition, our parish office hours will be adjusted for a ten-week period this summer. Effective now through Friday, August 11, office staff are asked to work extended time from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Friday hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with no lunch break.
With the additional half hour worked and shortened lunch break, there will be no reduction in hours for a standard work week. Staff also work additional hours due to night and weekend responsibilities.
In observance of Independence Day, the parish office will be closed on July 3rd and July 4th. The school office will be closed for the month of July.
EUCHARISTIC REVIVAL
Jesus Christ invites us to return to the source and summit of our faith in the celebration of the Eucharist. The National Eucharistic Revival is a movement to restore understanding and devotion to this great mystery by helping us renew our worship of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.

The Veil Removed
Chris Magruder, the founding member of The Veil Removed, said: "As a cradle Catholic who has continued to learn the Catholic faith, I continue to be surprised by the beauty and magnificence of the faith. When I began learning what happens behind the veil at Mass, my whole Mass experience changed. Suddenly I wanted to be in Mass daily and encounter the power and graces that come from receiving Jesus." It is the Lord’s desire to remind all people of the beauty and the truths of the Mass. And thus The Veil Removed has been born!

Discovering the Mass in the Old and the New Testament.
Through the Augustine Institute on FORMED
“Lamb of God”, “The Bread of Life,” “The Body and the Blood of Christ” . . . . these are phrases we know from the Mass. But do we understand what they mean in the greater and deeper context of Scripture and Church teaching? We will discover firsthand how Christ’s Body and Blood are integral and wondrous part of God’s plan for our salvation. Dr. Brant Pitre, acclaimed author and teacher digs down to biblical root of the Eucharist through its foreshadowing in the miraculous events of the Old Testament, the Gospels, and Apostolic teaching.

COMMUNITY
Thank You from the Sumer Picnic Committee!
Our Summer Picnic was well attended and we anticipate that it will be as successful as last year. A big thank you to everyone who helped us put on this cherished parish event. We cannot do it without the many volunteers who cook food, serve drinks, captain and work game booths, sell raffle tickets, pick up trash, count coins, hand out prizes and manage parking! And a special shout out to the Summer Picnic Chair, Chris Boehnlein, and the Summer Picnic Committee who plan months in advance and coordinate all the volunteers.
