RICE BOWL COLLECTION

On Good Friday, our parish will take up the annual collection to support Christians and holy places in the Holy Land. Stand in solidarity with the Church as a witness of peace.
Join us for reflection and reconciliation at our communal penance service on Sunday, April 13th at 1:00 PM in the church. The service will include prayers, readings from Scripture, and an Examination of Conscience to help prepare our hearts for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Then stay for "no excuse" confession after the service.
On the weekend of April 12th & 13th, we will celebrate Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord which will lead us into Holy Week. The blessing of palms will take place at all the Masses. Weather permitting, we will also have a Procession with Palms at the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Parishioners will be invited to be part of a grand procession that will make its way through the Prayer Garden and back into church.

The word “Triduum” comes from the Latin word meaning “three days,” and encompasses the three most sacred days in the Church year. It begins at sundown on Holy Thursday, reaches a high point at the Easter Vigil, and concludes with evening prayer at sundown on Easter Sunday. The liturgical celebrations during the Triduum on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, the Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday are rich with symbolism and flow from one to another in a seamless way. While it may appear as if these liturgies are separate and distinct, they are actually intended to be one continuous celebration that commemorates the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus.

The Great Vigil of Easter is one of the most beautiful and oldest known rites of the church, dating back to the second century. It brings worshippers, literally and symbolically, from darkness into light. Celebrate the first Eucharist of the Easter season and the sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation for those joining the Catholic faith. A reception will follow immediately after Mass.

Let us show our love for the environment by supporting RESolutions in this most worthwhile event. Remember, you do make a difference, please make it a positive one. Thanks! Environmental Ernie

It is with great pleasure to announce that it is time to begin the process of identifying new members for the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC). In consultation with the Pastor, the PPC actively listens to and identifies the needs and concerns of the parishioners and develops a parish pastoral plan to respond to these needs working closely with the parish staff. The Council also seeks to implement the plan by seeking the involvement of parishioners.
Prayerfully consider nominating yourself or others within the Parish with their approval. Nomination identification is open until Sunday, June 1, 2025. Nominations can be sent to tedsims@icloud.com, subject line: PPC Nomination, or can be brought to the Parish office.
We would like to thank everyone who took the time to participate in our recent survey about Mass times. Your feedback will help us better serve our community by making decisions that reflect the needs and preferences of our parish family. We are committed to ensuring that our worship times are accessible for all, and your responses will play a crucial role in shaping our next steps.
Also included in our survey was a section for comments. One suggestion repeatedly expressed was interest in a Sunday evening Mass. We look forward to your participation in an upcoming survey where we will explore the feasibility of offering a Sunday evening Mass.
Thank you once again for your time, insight, and continued support. We look forward to seeing you at Mass and continuing to grow together in faith.
