This weekend, we will take up the annual Black and Indian Mission Collection. This Collection exists to help diocesan communities preach the Gospel of Jesus among the African American, Native American, and Alaskan Native people of God. Your donations help fund parish-based catechetical programs, support teacher and catechist professional development, encourage vocations to the priesthood and religious life, and create diocesan structures, such as our own archdiocesan Office of Multicultural Ministry, that support ministry and evangelization in these diverse ethnic communities.

Thanks to all those who donated last weekend! St. Vincent de Paul was very grateful. Your generosity never ceases to amaze the pantries. Our next food collection will be going to Sr. Visitor. They are always in need of bleach, dish detergent, jellies, ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauces, cooking oil, flour & rice. As always, thank you for helping to alleviate food insecurity in our local community!
Laudato si Study Group
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis’ landmark encyclical Laudato si. In it, Pope Francis calls us to action, to become more aware of the damage we are doing to our environment, and to work to ensure that this most precious gift from God is cared for. The Environmental Concerns Committee of St. Albert the Great parish would like to invite you to join a new study group being formed to read and discuss Laudato si, and to explore actions we can all take to help care for our common home.
If you are interested in joining our group, please contact Mark Wehrley at 456-5176, or by using the Environmental Ernie web site’s “Contact Us” section. Go to: sites.google.com/stalbert.org/enviro-ernie-news/home. Remember, you do make a difference, please make it a positive one! Thanks, Environmental Ernie
