St. Albert is excited to invite our parishioners and friends to join us in praying the Rosary before Mass! Beginning Monday, February 10th the rosary will be said before Mass Monday- Friday in church at 8:00am. On the first Saturday of the month, the rosary will be said in the Adoration Chapel at 7:45am. The Tuesday morning rosary will continue to be said after Mass in addition to the 8:00am rosary.

This holy hour will take place in the church and will include prayers, music, scripture and time for silent reflection. The presence of Christ in the Eucharist is real, true and substantial. We have an amazing opportunity to spend time with Jesus who is physically present in the Eucharist that is exposed on the altar.

Voces Novae, now in its 31st season, is a semi-professional, selectively-auditioned choral ensemble focusing on contemporary American and a capella music. VN frequently collaborates with the Louisville Orchestra to perform master choral works such as Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Mozart's Requiem, and Orff's Carmina Burana. Their March 2 concert at St Albert, "In Her Voice," will feature sacred and secular works from American female composers.
Parishioner Dawn Knapp, a longtime VN member, would like to extend a special concert invitation and ticket discount to the St. Albert parish and staff. Just visit the will-call table before the concert and mention that you're a St Albert parishioner to purchase adult or senior citizen tickets for $15. Student tickets are $10 with student ID and child (age 12 & under) tickets are $5.

The March book will be Sneakin' Deacon: From Secret Service to Sacred Service by Greg Gitschier. Secret Service agent, private consultant, bodyguard... now serving as a deacon in the Catholic Church, a police chaplain, and Secret Service chaplain; Greg Gitschier has led an exciting life. He will be joining the book club as a guest speaker!
The April book will be The Life of the Blessed Virgin Mary: From the Visions of Ven. Anne Catherine Emmerich by Anne Catherine Emmerich.
There is no cost to join and no pre-registration required. Just read the book and show up! We will meet in the Sacred Heart Center on the last Thursday of the month at 10:30am.

Next Collection March 1st & 2nd
Our March collection will benefit the Saint Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. Every month, more than 500 households get groceries at the SVDP food pantry. Canned goods like beans, tuna, chicken, vegetables, fruit, soup, pasta and rice are needed. As always, thank you for your generosity and for helping to alleviate food insecurity in our local community!
February 22 - March 2nd
St. Mary Recycle Mission will be stopping by St. Albert the Great to collect religious items that need a new home. Items they take are anything Catholic such as Statues, Rosaries (Broken rosaries OK), Crucifixes, Holy Medals, Holy Cards, Framed Pictures, Prayer Books and Bibles as well as used musical instruments. Items they do not take- Religious Books, Pamphlets, Wax Candles, Angel Figurines (Saint Angels are fine).
Collection boxes will be located in the back of church February 22nd through March 2nd. Please bring your items in no later than Sunday March 2nd.
St. Mary Recycle Mission is a Catholic recycle group put together in 1998 to help rescue and help preserve used and unwanted religious items. The program helps those who cannot afford new religious items and helps churches with financial needs. Collecting sacramentals is a beloved Catholic tradition. This is a great opportunity to pass along Catholic religious items to others who will continue to enjoy them!
The next gathering of Markey’s Group will take place at Gustavo’s Mexican Grill located at 8909 US Highway 42 in Prospect. We will meet at 11:30am on Tuesday, February 18th. Markey’s Group provides an opportunity for those who have experienced the loss of a spouse to socialize monthly at various local restaurants. The purpose of the gatherings is to have an enjoyable time and lively conversation.
We always welcome new members. If you plan to attend our February lunch, please call or text Mike Ahrens at (502) 836-7847 by Noon on Monday, February 17th. We always like to inform the venues of our arrival so that they can prepare an appropriate number of spaces for us.
SUBSTANCE ABUSE PASSING SUPPORT GROUP

SPECIAL DISCIPLES OF JESUS MASS
All Special Needs family and friends are invited on Sunday, February 16th at 3pm; the Mass will be shorter and geared towards our children. Meet other families in similar situations.
