We joyfully congratulate Deacon Mark Preischel on his recent academic achievement! Deacon Mark has successfully completed his Master of Arts in Theology, with a focus on the sacraments, at Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology in St. Meinrad, Indiana. He was awarded his master’s degree at the commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 10th.
This milestone reflects his deep commitment to spiritual growth, theological study, and faithful service to the Church. We are blessed to have Deacon Mark as part of our parish family, and we give thanks for the wisdom and dedication he brings to his ministry.
Please keep Deacon Mark in your prayers as he continues to serve the people of St. Albert the Great with knowledge, compassion, and a heart for God.
Saturday May 17th | 5pm Mass
May 17th marks a truly historic milestone—100 years of Sainthood, a century of faith, devotion, and the enduring legacy of St. Thérèse of Lisieux. Celebrate the centenary of the canonization of the "Little Flower" by joining us at the Saturday evening Vigil Mass. The adult choir will be singing in her honor and all are invited to bring roses. Let us gather together to honor her legacy and seek her intercession in our lives!
Thurs., May 22nd | 6pm
Families and individuals of all ages are welcome!
This holy hour will include prayers, music, scripture and time for silent reflection. The presence of Christ in the Eucharist is real, true and substantial. We have an amazing opportunity to spend time with Jesus who is physically present in the Eucharist that is exposed on the altar.
May 31st & June 1st
Since 1955, the Archdiocese of Louisville has contributed millions of dollars to the Crusade for Children. This community-wide effort changes the lives of children with special needs, and families and Catholic schools in the Archdiocese have benefited directly from the Crusade. On the weekend of May 31st & June 2nd, our parish will collect donations for this year's Crusade. Those who wish to donate may bring contributions to Mass or to the parish and put the word "Crusade" in the memo line. If giving online, you can credit our parish in the "Additional Details" portion of the giving platform. The online form will ask a question about crediting a fire department. Answer no and then the form will populate a question about crediting a Catholic parish. With a yes answer to that question, the online form provides a drop-down menu of parishes.
Happy Ordination Anniversaries, Fr. Lubecke & Fr. Schultz!
We joyfully celebrate two special milestones in the lives of our beloved priests: Fr. Chris Lubecke on the 12th Anniversary of his Ordination on May 25, 2013; and Fr. Michael Schultz on the 1st Anniversary of his Ordination on June 1, 2024.
Both Fr. Chris and Fr. Michael have been with us at St. Albert the Great Parish for a year now, and what a blessing it has been! Their energy and deep love for the Church and our parish have touched the hearts of so many in our community.
We give thanks for all they do to lead, teach, and walk with us in faith. Please join us in offering prayers of gratitude and support for Fr. Lubecke and Fr. Schultz at Mass on the weekends of May 25th and June 1st.
Please note that the Wednesday evening and Friday noon Masses were offered only during Lent and are no longer being celebrated at this time. Any permanent changes to the Mass schedule will be communicated well in advance. We apologize for any confusion caused by recent discrepancies in the parish calendar.
