My friend and companion, Jesus, as I walk from house to house tonight, let me remember that You are with me. In the joy and laughter of my friends and family, in the creativity of the costumes and decorations, and in the generosity of the people giving out candy and treats.
Giving Tuesday is celebrated each year to encourage people to do good and give back. Save the Date for the first annual St. Albert iGiveCatholic campaign on Giving Tuesday! We are hoping to raise $8,000 to install a permanent camera in church, so we can once again broadcast Mass. This new system will allow us to stream more easily and more often.
Offering Livestream will help parishioners, school families and loved ones, near and far, feel spiritually connected to our community when they are unable to be here physically. Weekly Mass, School Mass, Special Liturgies, Sacraments, Funerals & Weddings, Graduation... We hope that you will “Give Back and Give Catholic” and “Let There be Streams of Mass”!
Have you ever wondered, "Why does the Church do that?" Go ahead – ask a priest! You can ask about anything – liturgy, prayer, church doctrine and parish life… Our goal is to provide a forum for guidance and information. So go ahead and ask your question… Submit questions in the back of church or online below.
Thanks for submitting your excellent questions! The Fathers are busy preparing the answers. If you submitted a question with an email they will reply directly to you. If you sent in an anonymous question the answer will be published in the Parish Post and/or Bulletin. Questions will be answered in the order they are received. Please allow some time for a response.
On Facebook Live!
Join us on Facebook Live on Friday mornings for "Updates with Fr. Chris & Kelly." Stay up to date on worship, formation, service, and parish life! Each update begins and ends with a prayer and includes a teaching moment about the Catholic faith. Find us on our Facebook page @stalbertchurchky! There will be no updates on Friday October 25th & November 1st while Fr. Chris is on the pilgrimage.
Thanks to everyone who has already donated to the CSA! We have raised $75,068 or 53% of our $142,600 goal. Please consider supporting the campaign. No donation is too small!
The annual Catholic Services Appeal invites area Catholics to join together in supporting the more than 100 ministries, services, and programs offered by the Archdiocese. For information on the work of the Archdiocese of Louisville, visit www.ArchLou.org/CSA.
The Tuesday Rosary will continue after the Novena ends. We will begin “after” the daily mass in the church. All are invited to participate and ask for Mary’s intercession. “The Rosary is a prayer both so humble and simple and a theologically rich in biblical content. I beg you to pray it.” — Pope St. John Paul II
On Thursday October 31st, Halloween night we will offer a Candlelit Mass for All Saints at 9:00pm. Relics of saints will be exposed for veneration after Mass. Confession and Eucharistic Adoration will begin at 8pm.
Friday, November 1st is All Saints Day and is a holy day of obligation. Masses are at 8:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. (school children will attend Mass at 9:45 a.m.) This feast day has been in existence since 844 when Pope Gregory IV set November 1 for a festival in honor of all the saints.
The saints in heaven give us courage that it is possible to spend our lives being faithful to God and charitable toward each other. They model for us gospel living.
St. Bernard of Clairvaux said, “Calling to mind the saints arouses in us above all else a longing to enjoy their company.”
November is the month the church sets aside specifically to honor and pray for those who have died. Every year on November 2nd the church celebrates the Feast of All Souls. It is a special day to remember those who have died and to pray for them. On Saturday evening, November 2nd, at the 5 p.m. Mass we will honor those who have been buried from our church since November of last year.
Families of our deceased parishioners are invited to attend as well as anyone who has lost a loved one in the last year. Indeed, all are invited to this special Mass to pray for all souls, trusting that God will hear and answer our prayers that the deceased will know eternal light, happiness and peace. At this Mass, names of the deceased from our parish are sung during a special Litany. Other names of those who have passed away since November, 2023 and whose funerals were held at other locations will be spoken during the Litany. For more information, contact Laura Sullivan, Director of Music and Worship, lsullivan@stalbert.org or 425-3940 ext. 148.

Fall/Holiday Lights Recycling
The holidays are quickly approaching. For many of us, that means a lot of holiday decorating. Of course, many have been decorating for the fall season already. If you have fall or holiday lights that are broken or don’t work, please remember that we recycle those lights each year in December and January. So please hang on to those broken lights and we’ll collect them and see that they are properly recycled. For more information on recycling, please visit my “Environmental Ernie web site.” The QR code is shown below. There’s lots of good information and help available there. You can even contact us with your environmental or recycling questions. Remember, you do make a difference, please make it a positive one! Thanks, Environmental Ernie

We are fortunate to have a vibrant and loving Catholic community with many opportunities for worship, service and fellowship. Often we have multiple events occur on our campus which puts a strain on the parking available to our parishioners and guests. If you need to park on the streets surrounding the St. Albert campus, we ask that you be considerate of neighbor's concerns. Please do not park on both sides of the street and refrain from having your vehicle's tires on lawns, landscaping and sidewalks. We thank you for your cooperation!
