LIFELONG FORMATION & EDUCATION

Women's Bible Study

St. Peter is both inspiring and confounding to many of us. How could a stubborn and impulsive fisherman become the “rock” upon which Jesus would build his Church? In Lectio: Peter Dr. Tim Gray gives a fresh perspective that is informative and relevant.

Join us to watch the series and discover how God can bring out our best, too!

Tuesdays, September 6- November 15

7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m

Parish Life Center

RSVP no later than August 8 to ensure a study guide is ordered for you. RSVP to dkshea01@hotmail.com. For more information contact Debbie Shearn at dkshea01@hotmail.com

PREP

PREP REGISTRATION IS OPEN! CATECHISTS NEEDED!

Have you registered your child(ren) for St. Albert’s PREP?

What is PREP? - Our Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) is for students K-8th Grade who are not registered in our parish school. PREP is an opportunity for these parish children to have their faith nurtured through formation, instruction in scripture and Church tradition, prayer and worship.

When does PREP meet?  Sundays 9:00 am - 10:15 am beginning August 21, 2022 through April 30, 2023.

During PREP we learn about Jesus’ love for us,  make new friends, develop a healthy spirituality, “connect” to the Catholic faith  and Tradition, and learn how to exemplify Christ-like attitudes.  We prepare to receive our Sacraments, and continue our Gospel lessons and develop our faith in those years in-between. Please Click the link below to download the PREP Registration Form!  (Scholarships available)

Please Contact Cindy McKinley, Director of Children’s Ministry cmckinley@stalbert.org.

This Week on Formed

“The Lamb of God,” “The Bread of Life,” “The Body and the Blood of Christ”... these are phrases we know from the Mass. But do we understand what they mean in the greater and deeper context of Scripture and Church teaching? We’ll discover firsthand how Christ’s Body and Blood are an integral and wondrous part of God’s plan for our salvation.

This week on Formed watch the story of Saint Maria Goretti, the Patroness of Modern Youth. This beautifully made film from Italy explains the plight of the poor laborers of the time, their extreme poverty and her devotion to God.
